Rebuild™: A Smarter Way to Heal Disc Injuries Without Surgery

Rebuild™: A Smarter Way to Heal Disc Injuries Without Surgery

By Dr. Bridger Cutler, DC, MS Strength & Human Performance

Disc injuries are one of the most common and debilitating spine problems I treat—often showing up as radiating nerve pain, weakness, numbness, or chronic inflammation that doesn’t respond to traditional therapy. If you’ve been told that surgery is your only option, I want to offer another way.

At Form Fitness & Chiropractic, we’ve developed a comprehensive solution called the Rebuild™ Protocol—a powerful combination of spinal decompression, biologic injection therapy, and functional rehab designed to help your spine heal from the inside out.

This is not pain management. This is recovery.

Understanding Disc Injuries and Why They Persist

Your spinal discs act as shock absorbers between each vertebra, made of a tough outer ring (annulus fibrosus) and a soft inner core (nucleus pulposus). When damaged—by trauma, degeneration, or repetitive strain—discs can:

  • Bulge or herniate, pressing on nearby nerves
  • Lose hydration and height, limiting joint movement
  • Trigger inflammatory responses, leading to pain and dysfunction

Common disc-related conditions include:

  • Herniated or bulging discs
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Sciatica or nerve root compression
  • Post-surgical “failed back” pain
  • Foraminal narrowing and radiculopathy

Left uncorrected, these issues often get worse—especially if you rely on medications or injections alone.

Why Conventional Treatments Often Fall Short

Most patients are funneled into one of three options:

  1. Medication: Offers temporary relief but doesn’t correct the disc pathology.
  2. Steroid injections: Reduce inflammation but can weaken tissue over time.
  3. Surgery: Carries significant risks, high cost, and long recovery—often with no guarantee of full resolution.

Many spine surgeries (like discectomy or spinal fusion) remove or immobilize parts of the spine, but they don’t address why the disc failed in the first place.

That’s where Rebuild™ comes in.

Our Solution: A 360° Approach to Disc Healing

The Rebuild™ Protocol is a 6–8 week program designed to offload disc pressure, reduce inflammation, and stimulate real healing. It includes:

✅ 6 Platelet-Rich Plasma / Ozone Injections

We use precision-guided PRP and ozone therapy to enhance cellular repair, reduce oxidative stress, and improve blood flow to injured tissue. These injections are backed by evidence for improving outcomes in:

  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Annular tears
  • Chronic low back pain and radiculopathy

📚 Studies show that PRP injections significantly reduce pain and improve function in patients with discogenic low back pain—with results lasting 6–12 months or more (Akeda et al., Spine Journal, 2021).

✅ 24 Spinal Decompression Sessions (DRX9000)

The DRX9000 is one of the most advanced decompression tables available. It delivers targeted negative pressure to the injured disc, allowing:

  • Retraction of herniated material
  • Rehydration of the nucleus pulposus
  • Improved nutrient diffusion for long-term healing

🧠 A 2004 study by Gionis et al. found over 88% of patients reported significant relief after completing a decompression program using the DRX9000.

✅ 24 Whole Body Chiropractic Adjustments

Adjustments restore joint function and improve spinal stability, allowing decompression and injections to be more effective. We focus on:

  • Segmental realignment
  • Pelvic stabilization
  • Neuro-mechanical reset

✅ 24 E-Stim Therapy Sessions

E-stim helps to reduce muscle guarding and inflammation while encouraging tissue regeneration and nerve desensitization.

✅ At-Home Exercise Plan

You’ll receive a progressive, personalized rehab program that includes:

  • Core engagement and pelvic stability
  • Postural and functional movement training
  • Safe loading to protect the disc and prevent reinjury

✅ Pre and Post Spinal X-Rays

We objectively track progress using pre- and post-X-rays to evaluate improvements in curve integrity, disc spacing, and alignment.

✅ 20% Nutritional Discount

Support healing from the inside with targeted supplements, including omega-3s, collagen peptides, and turmeric, all selected to support disc and joint recovery.

Why Rebuild™ Is a Smarter Investment

💸 Average spinal surgery cost in the U.S.: $23,500–$90,000

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use FSA/HSA or health insurance?

Yes! We are FSA and HSA approved, and currently accept Select Health, EMI, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you carry a different insurance provider, our healthcare strategist Caleb can review your benefits and help you navigate your options for out-of-network reimbursement. We also provide itemized superbills upon request to support self-submitted claims. Whether you're using insurance or tax-advantaged accounts, our goal is to help you access the care you need while maximizing your benefits.

What if I don't have insurance?

No problem—you don’t need insurance to get care at our office. At Form Fitness & Chiropractic, we offer affordable pricing and flexible monthly membership options so you can prioritize your health without long-term contracts or pressure. You can pay per visit, use an HSA or FSA if you have one, or choose the plan that works best for your budget. Our goal is to make high-quality chiropractic care accessible to everyone.

What is included in my first visit with Form Fitness and Chiropractic?

Your first visit includes a comprehensive chiropractic consultation, full spinal examination, and digital posture analysis using our proprietary “Structural Fingerprint Exam.” We’ll assess how your body moves, identify the root cause of any issues, and review your health goals. You’ll receive a personalized Report of Findings, outlining your recommended care plan. In most cases, we’re also able to begin your first adjustment during this visit.

Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?

Absolutely. Our doctors have received advanced training in prenatal chiropractic care, and we offer special equipment to make the experience gentle, safe, and tailored for each stage of pregnancy. Chiropractic care during pregnancy helps reduce back and hip pain, symphysis pubis disorder (SPD), and improve pelvic alignment and motion. Studies suggest it may even support a smoother labor and delivery.

Do chiropractic adjustments hurt?

Most patients feel relief—not pain—after an adjustment. Techniques are customized to your comfort level, and many people report improved mobility, reduced tension, and a noticeable sense of calm after care.

Do you treat car accident injuries?

Yes! We specialize in post-accident chiropractic care, including whiplash, soft tissue damage, and spinal trauma. Our documentation supports your personal injury claim and helps you recover faster—without medication or surgery.

How often should I see a chiropractor?

Chiropractic care frequency depends on your goals—whether you're recovering from an injury, managing chronic back pain, or maintaining spinal alignment. We’ll create a custom care plan based on your exam and your lifestyle needs.

Can kids and babies see a chiropractor?

Yes. Chiropractic adjustments for children and infants are gentle, safe, and specifically tailored to their age and stage of development. Care can support posture, neuromuscular development, and overall health from an early age. We customize each care plan to meet the unique needs of every child.
